According to OSHA regulations, overhead crane load testing is required to ensure the safety and integrity of the crane. During a load test, we use certified test weights to test the unit at 125% of its weighted capacity. That allows for the crane durability to be tested and will alert our technicians of any faulty or damaged equipment. By running a load at 125% we want to ensure the crane can properly distribute the load in a safe manner, it's important to run a load test to expose weak points.
