Our Service Capabilities

Crane Load Testing

OSHA regulations require overhead crane load testing to verify the safety and structural integrity of crane systems. At J&J Crane, we perform load testing using certified test weights to evaluate the crane at 125% of its rated capacity. This process allows our technicians to confirm the crane’s durability and identify any potential mechanical or structural issues. Load testing helps ensure the crane can safely handle and distribute loads while exposing any weak points that may require repair or adjustment.

What the Test Includes

During a load test, our technicians carefully evaluate all major crane functions to ensure proper operation. This includes testing trolley travel, bridge movement, hoisting and lowering functions, and safety limit switches to verify that all components are operating safely and efficiently.

Overhead Crane Repair

J&J Crane provides reliable repair services for overhead cranes to keep your equipment operating safely and efficiently. Our highly qualified technicians are trained to inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues quickly and effectively. By carefully identifying potential problems and correcting them early, we help minimize downtime and maintain smooth operations. Repair services can be scheduled as needed for unexpected issues or arranged as part of a routine maintenance program.

Crane Safety & Operator Training

J&J Crane offers comprehensive safety and operator training to ensure the individuals responsible for managing and operating your cranes are properly trained and prepared. Our programs combine quality instructional materials with hands-on skill assessments to build confidence and competence. We provide training for new operators as well as refresher courses for experienced personnel, with safety and production-focused instruction tailored to the specific equipment used at your facility.

Through our safety and operator training programs, participants gain a clear understanding of OSHA requirements, proper crane operation, and the essential components of crane systems. This training helps promote a safer work environment, reduce the risk of workplace injuries, and support compliance with industry safety standards.

Crane Inspection

Regular safety inspections are essential for maintaining the reliability, performance, and safety of your crane equipment. J&J Crane provides detailed inspections that can be scheduled routinely or performed as needed. During each inspection, our technicians carefully evaluate the condition of your equipment, identify any damaged or worn components, and provide a detailed report outlining recommended repairs or corrective actions. Keeping your crane in proper working condition helps improve productivity while protecting the safety of your employees.

What Our Technicians Inspect

During an inspection, our technicians evaluate key components of the crane system, including:

  • Hydraulic and electrical systems

  • Loose bolts or rivets

  • Load-bearing components and alignment

  • Brake system components, including pawls, ratchets, and linings

  • Drums and sheaves for cracks or excessive wear

  • Chains and wire ropes for stretching or damage

  • Chain drive sprockets

  • Critical components such as shafts, rollers, bearings, locking and clamping devices, pins, and gears
